How to Get to MADRING: Metro, Trains and Why There's No Parking
MADRING, the circuit for the Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix (10–12 September 2027), sits inside the IFEMA venue at Av. del Partenón 5, 28042 Madrid, and has no on-site parking. The recommended way in is Metro Line 8 (Feria de Madrid) or Line 4, Cercanías Line C-1 (Valdebebas), EMT buses and shuttles; in 2026, eight out of ten fans arrived by public transport.
📍 In one line: MADRING sits next to Valdebebas, five minutes from Barajas Airport, and the official site is blunt about it: "PARKING NOT AVAILABLE ON SITE." Metro and train are the main route in; for VIP guests, EnjoyVIP arranges a private chauffeured transfer instead.
Why MADRING has no on-site parking
Unlike some other circuits, MADRING was designed from the outset as a parking-free event. IFEMA MADRID's official site states it plainly: "PARKING NOT AVAILABLE ON SITE." In the first edition, held 11–13 September 2026, eight out of ten spectators arrived by public transport, according to MADRING's press release of 17 September 2026. That figure confirms the mobility plan works at scale — but it also means showing up by private car without a pre-booked transfer isn't a practical option.
Feria de Madrid (IFEMA) station, with a direct connection to Terminal 4 at Barajas Airport.
Canillas, Mar de Cristal and San Lorenzo stations, a short distance from the venue.
Valdebebas station, with a change at Chamartín from Atocha, Recoletos or Nuevos Ministerios.
Services from Plaza de Castilla, Canillejas, Avenida de América and around the Metropolitano.
The public transport options, one by one
According to madring.com's travel guide, the circuit has several public transport routes spread across the IFEMA venue and Valdebebas. Metro Line 8 is the most direct option for anyone arriving from the airport, since it connects without transfers to Barajas Terminal 4 and terminates at Feria de Madrid station, right by the circuit. Line 4 offers an alternative route via Canillas, Mar de Cristal and San Lorenzo.
For those who prefer rail, Cercanías Line C-1 runs to Valdebebas station; anyone departing from Atocha, Recoletos or Nuevos Ministerios needs to change at Chamartín. On top of that, several EMT bus lines stop at the venue, split between the North and South access points, plus organised shuttles from locations around the city such as Plaza de Castilla, Canillejas, Avenida de América and the area around the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
EnjoyVIP note: according to madring.com's travel guide, the venue's North and South sectors are not connected internally. If your group is split between two lounges or arriving from different points, it's worth planning transfers separately; EnjoyVIP handles this within the proposal, with a private door-to-door chauffeur from the hotel or the airport.
Taxi, rideshare and private transfers for VIP guests
MADRING has designated taxi and rideshare zones inside the venue, ideal for anyone who doesn't want to rely on public transport, or who's travelling with luggage, children or a large group. It's also the route EnjoyVIP uses for its clients' private transfers: pickup at the hotel or straight from Terminal 4 at the airport — just five minutes from MADRING, according to IFEMA — and drop-off right at the door of the booked lounge or box, with no need to worry about access points or public transport timetables.
Quick guide: how to get there depending on where you're coming from
- From Barajas Airport: Metro Line 8 straight to Feria de Madrid, or a private transfer (5 minutes by car).
- From central Madrid (Atocha, Nuevos Ministerios): Cercanías Line C-1 with a change at Chamartín to Valdebebas.
- From the north of the city: Metro Line 4 (Canillas, Mar de Cristal, San Lorenzo) or a shuttle from Plaza de Castilla.
- With VIP guests or large groups: a private door-to-door transfer, arranged by EnjoyVIP.
- By private car with no transfer booked: not a practical option; there's no parking on site.
What the first edition showed, in numbers
The first edition of the FORMULA 1 TAG HEUER GRAN PREMIO DE ESPAÑA 2026, held 11–13 September, drew 352,618 attendances over three days: 87,890 on Friday, 122,039 on Saturday and 128,183 on Sunday, according to MADRING's press release of 17 September 2026. Of those, 38,879 went to hospitality areas and 15,000 to the F1 Paddock Club, and eight out of ten fans arrived by public transport — confirming that the parking-free mobility plan worked at scale.
For 2027, with the Grand Prix running 10–12 September at MADRING — a hybrid circuit of 5.4 km and 22 corners within the IFEMA venue — the mobility advice stays the same: Metro, train, or a private transfer booked in advance, never a private car without an access plan.
We arrange your private transfer from the hotel or airport straight to the door of your VIP lounge or box at the Madrid Grand Prix, with no obligation.
